In patients with poor results after blepharoplasty it is common to see the so-called “baby-doll” eyes, due to excessive resection of skin, muscle and fat from the upper eyelid.
In the lower eyelid it is not uncommon to end up with a retraction of the central or lateral border of the lid, which produces a “scleral show” or “round-eye” deformity, consisting in the visualisation of a portion of the white area of the eye underneath the iris when looking forward.
In order to solve these problems, Dr. Bravo performs a combination of advanced techniques which provide volume such as fat transfers and which elevate the lower lid rim through canthoplasty techniques, muscular slings and the use of acellular dermal matrixes in selected cases.
